AN INTERVIEW WITH THOMAS DROLET, PRESIDENT DROLET & ASSOCIATES ENERGY SERVICES (As of April 9, 2012)  So is there a future in uranium mining?  Some suggest that there might be with all the nukes being built in places like China and India.  Hey, even Saudi Arabia might be building some of their own.  So why not visit with Thomas Drolet of Drolet and Associates Energy Services, Inc.  He has held some interesting positions in the Energy business over the last 42 years in most areas of energy supply and demand (oil, gas, nuclear, coal, hy-droelectricity and renewables). He was one of the first North Americans to visit Russia immediately after the Chernobyl acci-dent in 1986.  click here to read the article

Secutor Capital Management Corp. - Athabasca Uranium Intersects Strong Alteration at Keefe

Friday, 25 November 2011 10:10

In light of Cameco and Rio Tinto’s ongoing bidding war for Hathor Exploration, we are issuing an update to our earlier report on another Athabasca explorer (“Runnin’ Back to Saskatoon”, 30 Sept 2011). Athabasca Uranium (V.UAX) recently began a 3000 m diamond drill program on its Keefe Lake uranium project in the southeastern Athabasca Basin. 10 high-value targets have been identified from the correlation of seismic data interpretations with Aerotem and Geotem Mag/EM surveys. Drilling is planned to extend to 300 m depths to hit the unconformity as well as basement features. Drill hole AU4-1 intersected a large zone of prominent, sustained alteration beginning at 172 m true depth. AU4-1 has crossed 370 m, at an 80 degree angle, bearing SE towards a subtle subsurface EM anomaly. click here for the report.

The region is making headlines owing to a fierce takeover battle for Hathor Exploration by Cameco and RioTinto for its high-grade uranium deposit. click here for more...

The Energy Report Interview with Steve Palmer (10/18/11) "Athabasca Uranium Inc. is a uranium company in our fund. . .I'm hoping for good results [from their upcoming drilling]. It's in the right neighborhood and there's obviously a lot of high-grade uranium and some very profitable mines close by. 8 Uranium Bargains

Friday, 13 May 2011 08:26

The earthquake, tsunami and ensuing nuclear crisis in Japan have been devastating in many ways. In terms of impact on the stock market, just about any stock related to nuclear power has endured a significant correction. I am not a huge fan of nuclear power, but as an investor, I put my personal beliefs aside when it comes to investments. While the new concerns over nuclear power will slow down the growth of this industry in the short term, it will most certainly remain a viable source of power and provide investment opportunities. click here for the full article
